I Colori del Divin Pittore
(The Colours of the Divine Painter)
I have always been fascinated and enchanted by the beauty of the Italian Renaissance, of which Pietro di Cristoforo Vannucci, known as Perugino, was the undisputed protagonist.
My photographic project commences from the photo I took of his original works and develops through a graphic elaboration meant to accentuate and emphasize the colours of the “Divine Painter” From the perfect prospective construction of his architecture and the depth of his landscapes, beginning from the centrifugal point of these works, my goal was to form vortices and spirals thus creating a fluctuating dance of colours while maintaining, at times, the depth of the landscapes painted within the originals.
